Hi Everyone,
Wow you know I'm such a slacker. About 2 weeks ago I went out and bought v-day cards. They are still sitting wrapped up on my kitchen counter. UGH.
Sorry I haven't been posting here much lately. I have been more active over on my food journal since I am actively trying to eat better so feel free to check out my entries over there.
Still no word on the pregnancy front. Mat is getting more frustrated than I am. I am looking into getting a Fertility Monitor to help out. Anyone else ever used one before?

We tried for about 3 months, then we got frustrated. So I went out and bought an ovulation prediction kit, it was store brand, either CVS or Target, can't remember. We got pregnant the first month we used it. I tend to ovulate late in my cycle, so I don't think we would have gotten pregnant so soon if we hadn't used it. It definitely takes a little romance out of things, but hey, it was New Year's Eve and we were a little tipsy and still enjoyed ourselves. =)
Oh, one more thing to think about. If you got pregnant now, you will be 7, 8, 9 months pregnant over the summer. Let me tell you, it sucks! I couldn't even wear my flip flops, my feet were so swollen. I had to wear Birkenstocks (to work and everything) and let them out to the farthest hole. If we have another baby, I'm hoping he/she is born in the spring so that I'm at my most pregnant fall/winter.
Thanks Lauren!
Yes sadly I have though of the summer thing. I'm sure I'll be miserable whenever...lol.
I had not even thought of a non name brand kit. Duh! I will have to check out target. Thanks!!
I recommend the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility". www.tcoyf.com, I think. It teaches you how to chart, how to recognize your fertility signs, and when the best time to do to horizontal mambo would be. I am actually usuing this now as a way NOT to get pregnant - it is my birth control. We just don't "have relations" during my fertile time. The books i sbaout 20 bucks, and a really easy read. And I take my temperature every morning, and mark it on a chart. I highly recommend it. Good luck!
I second the TCOYF. It is great for "troubleshooting" when you are first getting started. I have heard GREAT things about those fertility monitors, except they are expensive.
And I though being pregnant in the summer was GREAT. For the first time, I didn't freeze. I was in Dallas though, and it is totally sweatshirt weather from May-Aug thanks to 60 degree AC.
Oh, and www.fertilityfriend.com is a great site. You get one month free, and then you have to pay, but it is well worth it. They also do a lot for the charting.
